PROFESSIONAL BIO

Bruce Branstad is an experienced electromechanical technologist with more than 30 years of hands-on experience spanning manufacturing, test systems, tooling, mechanical design, electronics, CAD, machining, and technical documentation.

His career has developed at the intersection of engineering and practical execution. From troubleshooting production equipment and developing test fixtures to designing aerospace tooling and modernizing legacy designs, Bruce brings a broad technical perspective shaped by decades of solving real-world problems.

His strength lies in connecting design intent with manufacturability, documentation, and hands-on implementation. He approaches each project analytically, values precision and repeatability, and continues to expand his skills as technologies and engineering tools evolve.

Bruce’s career reflects a simple principle: experience is most valuable when it can be applied to make something work better.

I have my flaws too, but I am a professional who doesn't like to miss or lose. - Cristiano Ronaldo

My Story

BRUCE BRANSTAD SR

CREATIVE, ANALYTICAL, PROBLEM-SOLVER

My name is Bruce Branstad Sr., and I’ve been working as an engineering technologist for nearly 30 years. Across medical device, aerospace, and manufacturing sectors, I’ve built a reputation for precision, creative problem-solving, and the ability to bridge electrical and mechanical systems into practical, working solutions. I’ve been recognized as a subject matter specialist, but titles matter less to me than results.

My fascination with electronics began early. That interest led me to pursue an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Engineering Technologies, which laid the foundation for a career that blends theory with hands-on execution. I’ve worked with everything from small household circuits to large-scale industrial machinery, and each project has sharpened my attention to detail and strengthened my resolve to do the job right.

Setbacks have never discouraged me—they’ve taught me. Every challenge has added another layer to my toolkit, and I treat each one as an opportunity to improve, adapt, and refine.

Outside the workplace, my passion continues in the shop—restoring and rebuilding motorcycles. Engine rebuilds, electrical systems, cosmetic restorations—I take pride in bringing machines back to life, better than before. It’s not just a hobby; it’s another way I test myself, apply what I know, and push for even higher standards.

In short, this career isn’t something I stumbled into. It’s something I’ve built with purpose—one project, one fix, one challenge at a time. Whether it’s a complex fixture for aerospace or a vintage bike in need of revival, I approach it with the same commitment: stay sharp, stay steady, and always deliver.

I enjoy the work, I enjoy every minute of my professional life. - Jose Mourinho
